An arrest warrant has been issued against Bollywood actress Malaika Arora. She was asked to appear as a witness in a 2012 case, but she avoided it. That is why a Mumbai magistrate court yesterday issued a bailable arrest warrant against her. According to NDTV
The incident began on February 21, 2012. Actor Saif Ali Khan, industrialist Bilal Amrohi and Malaika's brother-in-law Shahil Ladakh were accused of attacking industrialist Iqbal Sharma at a five-star hotel in Mumbai's Colaba area. The South African-born Indian industrialist accused Saif and his group of shouting and indecent behavior. An argument broke out between the two parties, which gradually escalated into a fight. Saif was accused of punching the industrialist and breaking his nose.
Iqbal Sharma's father-in-law Ramanbhai Patel was also accused of harassment by the actor and his associates. Malaika was ordered to appear as a witness in that incident. As she avoided appearing, the Mumbai Magistrate's Court has issued an arrest warrant against the actress on a bailable section of Rs 5,000.

According to police sources, Malaika Arora was with Saif and others at a five-star hotel in Colaba on the night of the incident. Police claim that the incident happened in front of her eyes. As a result, she was asked to appear as a witness. Actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan, actress Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora Ladakh, and fashion designer Vikram Pradhan were also present at the scene that night.
In 2014, a case was registered against Saif Ali Khan, Shakeel Ladakh, and Bilal Amrohi under multiple sections in this incident. In 2017, a case was filed against Saif for intentional assault. It was alleged that the industrialist's father-in-law was also harassed and beaten.
Saif approached the sessions court. However, his case in 2019 was dismissed. Then in 2023, the court acquitted Saif. However, before the trial ends and the verdict is given against the remaining accused, special attention is being paid to the statements of the witnesses. That is why Malaika Arora was summoned.
